We learn a lot on social media, but we rarely adopt those pieces of advice.

When we get ourselves in order, things will get better…
I’m a mother of one child, but when I say “one,” I’d like to emphasize the old wisdom that it’s harder to raise fifty-one than just one child. My husband and I waited a long time to become parents, which explains why it’s a little harder for us, in our 40s, to deal with a ten-year-old and all the responsibilities that come with family life.

Over time, whether we like it or not, we put ourselves second. Work, homework, celebrations, loans, chasing after a better job, the tenders we follow… it’s one big chaos.

But we don’t give up! We make a good team. I’m forever dissatisfied with my appearance, I’ve gained a few extra pounds since childbirth, and my husband works 25 hours a day. All in all, nothing different from most people.

We hang in there and say, “It’s a fight we must win!”

I admit…

Somehow, I’ve been overwhelmed by the chaos we live in, so I don’t have a routine when it comes to many things. The lunch is always on the table, the homework is written every day, and every bill is paid. All of this in some improvised system. We jump in to help each other, but overall, I’m not sending a good message to my child. We need order, or at least someone to nudge us when we stray too far from the plan. I try to make my son go to bed by 10, pack his books before bed, not eat sweets in front of a screen, and similar things, but when you add it all up, you can see that this chaos leaves its consequences. Your nerves start to fray, and fatigue shows on your face and body. Fatigue from life and all the responsibilities that keep piling up.

I admire women who don’t have a full sink, whose kitchen counters aren’t cluttered with jars, who iron the laundry as soon as they take it off the line. I’m not like that, and I constantly feel that I wish I could be the same.

I’m making some progress, but it’s small steps in that direction. I park my car in the furthest spot in the supermarket lot so I can walk more. I’ve been doing this for three weeks. I get off the bus one stop earlier and walk those few extra minutes to work. In the evening, I cut up an apple instead of eating snacks.

I’m working on myself and my family, and our routines. I have to think about the habits we’re forming in our child. Health isn’t a privilege, it’s our responsibility. The more we put in, the better it will serve us.

Small routines that mean a lot, but require little

I’ve taken small steps toward a better life. I’ve even gone back to some old habits. When I was younger, I used to take the famous Galenika Beviplex because I was very skinny. Now, I’ve put a Beviplex tablet next to my toothbrush in the bathroom. As soon as we brush our teeth, we take a tablet, and we’re good to go. Honestly, I know that vitamin B and vitamin B complexes don’t help people with weight problems increase their appetite, but knowing I’ll be going to bed afterward and that we brush our teeth every night before bed, this feels like the best solution for me. I’m proud that this useful habit has become second nature to us—so to speak. I can’t say it’s been a big stress as a habit, but when I lie in bed, knowing I’ve just done something good for my health, it feels easier. I know it’s something I came up with myself, not something I picked up from social media, and I’m honestly sharing it with my friends as a good routine, reminding them not to skip the small things that matter so much. I also recommended it to my mom because one box with 30 tablets is enough for a whole month, and it’s not a big expense. She likes returning to things she used in her youth.

We always have a stock of it in our home pharmacy. It’s really important not to break the chain of good habits. I think it helps me focus, get through the day, and I feel calmer. My skin breathes better, and my hair doesn’t fall out as much after all the diets. Beviplex is the best thing I’ve brought back into my life after many years.

[107

post-7412","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-med-servis-en
["GET
