YOU CARE FOR WHAT YOU CAN SEE. CHECK WHAT YOU CAN’T.

YOU CARE FOR WHAT YOU CAN SEE. CHECK WHAT YOU CAN’T.

Galenika and Pantenol highlight the importance of breast cancer prevention for the seventh consecutive year

Belgrade, 1 October 2026 – Pharmaceutical company Galenika and its Pantenol brand are launching the “Pantenol Pink October” campaign for the seventh consecutive year, with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of breast cancer prevention and early detection. This year’s campaign carries the message “You care for what you can see. Check what you can’t.”, reminding women that the care and attention they devote to themselves every day should also extend to what cannot be seen at first glance.

Every day, we make time to care for our skin, hair and body, while preventive health check-ups are often postponed. This is why this year’s campaign connects everyday self-care rituals with caring for our health, with a simple message: regular check-ups should become a natural part of our routine.

According to the latest available data from the Institute of Public Health of Serbia “Dr Milan Jovanović Batut”, nearly 5,000 new cases of breast cancer among women are registered in Serbia each year. The disease, which can be successfully treated in the majority of cases when detected in time, claims hundreds of thousands of lives worldwide every year. The fact that breast cancer is the most common malignant tumour among women further highlights the importance of regular examinations, early detection and effective diagnostics.

For this reason, this year’s campaign does not use the language of fear, but instead highlights a simple yet important fact: prevention is one of the most important ways we can take care of our health.

“Every day, we do many ‘small’ things for ourselves, and preventive check-ups should be one of them. Through this year’s campaign, we want to remind women not to limit the attention they give themselves only to what they can see. For the seventh consecutive year, through the Pantenol Pink October project, Galenika is combining education with tangible support for the community, with the aim of ensuring that the message about the importance of prevention reaches as many women as possible,” said Ricardo Vian Marques, General Manager of Galenika.

This year’s campaign once again has a concrete donation goal. During October, Galenika will allocate 5% from every product sold from the Pantenol portfolio, with the funds raised to be donated to Kruševac General Hospital in support of improving breast cancer prevention, diagnostics and treatment.

Over the previous years, more than EUR 60,000 has been donated through the “Pantenol Pink October” initiative to healthcare institutions and organisations providing support in the fight against breast cancer, allowing the campaign to continuously combine awareness-raising with tangible support for the community.

Through its activities throughout October, Pantenol will continue to remind women that regular check-ups should not be something we postpone, but rather part of the care and attention we give ourselves.

Because some things may not be visible at first glance – but they can be checked in time.

You care for what you can see. Check what you can’t.
