Galenika Donates 10,000 Euros to the Oncology Department of the Kladovo Health Center

Galenika has donated 10,000 euros (in dinar equivalent) to the Oncology Department of the Kladovo Health Center. The purpose of the donation is to support the efforts of this important institution in the fight against breast cancer and to improve treatment conditions for patients from Eastern Serbia.

In October of this year, Galenika carried out its fifth consecutive corporate social responsibility campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of prevention and early diagnosis in the fight against breast cancer, while also allocating funds from the sale of its Pantenol products for this donation. The “Pantenol Pink October” project is significant because it informs, encourages solidarity, and unites people in the fight against this disease. Over the past four years, Galenika has supported the work of key health institutions and patient associations in the fight against breast cancer, including the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia (IORS), the Institute for Oncology of Vojvodina (IOV), and the Milica Women’s Center. The continuous message Galenika sends is: Share – Remind – Check. Share – the information; Remind – a friend; and Check – go to the doctor and get a preventive exam.

“We are proud to have dedicated special attention to the fight against breast cancer this October. For the fifth consecutive year, Galenika has focused on this important topic through a national campaign. Early diagnosis and prevention not only help save lives but also improve the quality of life for patients. We are grateful to all those who responded to Galenika’s call and supported the campaign because together we are raising awareness about the importance of prevention and regular check-ups, and we are also helping to improve the conditions for patient treatment,” said Nenad Burazor, Director of Sales and Marketing at Galenika.

The statistics underscore the importance of the Oncology Department of the Kladovo Health Center, which provides chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and pathology services for patients in the Bor, Zaječar, and Braničevo districts, with a population of approximately 500,000 people. Over 5,000 exams are conducted annually, including preventive, diagnostic, and specialist consultations, as well as more than 2,000 therapeutic procedures. Of the 1,200 surgical interventions performed annually on oncology patients at this facility, around 250 patients undergo breast cancer surgery each year.

“Thanks to the close collaboration of all departments at the Kladovo Health Center, as well as the integrated diagnostic-therapeutic process, the number of breast cancer cases detected in the early stages has increased every year. I would like to thank Galenika for their donation, as it will enable us to acquire medical equipment that will further contribute to improving the conditions for diagnosing and treating oncology patients,” said Dr. Dejan Čučulanović, Acting Director of the Kladovo Health Center.
