“Hello Twenties” – How are you?

Belgrade, December 12, 2024 – The platform “Healthy Twenties,” in collaboration with the psychosocial counseling service of the CEZAM Youth Center, has launched the “HELLO TWENTIES” campaign. As part of the campaign, young people aged 15 to 30 will be able to schedule free counseling sessions with a psychologist at CEZAM’s e-counseling service via the website dvadesete.rs.
The campaign officially kicked off with a panel discussion titled “Holidays and the Mental Health of Young People,” held at the CEZAM counseling center. The panelists included Roberto Grujičić, a child and adolescent psychiatrist; Snežana Mrvić, a clinical psychologist and counselor at CEZAM; Tanja Senović, Senior Product Manager at Galenika; and Tea Dimitrijević, activity coordinator at CEZAM, who also moderated the discussion.
Supporting the mental health of young people is of utmost importance for society as a whole. Young people are the drivers of society and change, and what they do and how they behave in their youth will surely resonate in later years. It is no longer taboo to see a psychologist or reach out to a professional when facing certain challenges. Healthy young people make for a healthy society because today’s twenties will become the forties, fifties, and beyond, as Tanja Senović, Senior Product Manager at Galenika, said.
The “HELLO TWENTIES” campaign started on December 12 and will run until all available slots are filled. Visitors to the website dvadesete.rs will have the opportunity to schedule up to five free online psychological counseling sessions. The number of young people who can register through the website is limited by the number of available slots at the CEZAM counseling service. Those who schedule an appointment will have the chance to speak with psychologists and psychiatric residents from the Institute for Mental Health. The goal of the campaign is to inform young people about the opportunity for free psychological support and offer them the chance to schedule appointments, regardless of where they live in Serbia.
The constant demand for CEZAM’s counseling services and activities shows us that young people today are more willing to invest time and effort into preserving their mental health. It is up to us to help them help themselves, but unfortunately, we cannot open a CEZAM center in every city overnight. We hope that through online counseling, we can show them that we are here for them, no matter how physically distant we may be, said Snežana Mrvić, clinical psychologist at the Institute for Mental Health and counselor at CEZAM.
The collaboration between the socially responsible platform “Healthy Twenties” and the CEZAM Youth Center represents a natural step, given that they share the same goal – supporting the mental health of young people in Serbia. “Healthy Twenties” has been working for four years on the prevention and preservation of both physical and mental health among twenty-year-olds, providing credible and verified information and advice on how to establish balance and maintain health. The CEZAM Youth Center was established by the Serbian Government’s Working Group for Supporting Mental Health and Safety for Young People. At CEZAM, young people aged 15 to 30 can schedule free counseling sessions with a psychologist and attend preventive activities that help them prepare for the future and become more resilient to challenges.
“Healthy Twenties” Platform
Since October 2020, the “Healthy Twenties” project, supported by Galenika, has been helping young people in Serbia by providing verified and credible information in the form of recommendations and advice, aimed at preventing health issues and preserving their well-being while promoting healthy habits.
“Healthy Twenties” has built a community of over 45,000 people across social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, as well as on the website dvadesete.rs. The site offers e-guides on healthy living principles, such as “How to Find Balance and Maintain Health” and “Guide to Life in Your Own Skin,” created in collaboration with medical professionals from various fields including nutrition, physical activity, mental health, contraception, addictions, hormones, allergies, ENT, urology, dermatology, ophthalmology, and aesthetic medicine. The e-guides provide quality and verified educational content, offering relevant information, recommendations, and advice on how to build healthy habits to avoid certain ailments, how to recognize symptoms, and when and how to take action if they appear.
CEZAM was established by the Serbian Government’s Working Group for Supporting Mental Health and Safety for Young People. Based on the experiences of psychologists and psychiatrists who provided support to young people after the May tragedies, the Crisis Psychosocial Support Project recognized the need to create a space for providing counseling services along with preventive community activities. Since March 2023, CEZAM has been offering free psychosocial counseling to young people aged 10 to 30 at its address at Resavska 22. Over 1,200 counseling sessions have been conducted so far.
In addition to counseling, CEZAM organizes preventive activities, creative and educational programs, helping young people make productive use of their free time and prepare for the future. The center also offers a psychoeducational program for parents, as well as a volunteer program promoting mental health in the community. To promote mental health, CEZAM relies on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, through which over 500,000 young people are reached each month with reliable mental health information.
